Yuri is haunted by the accident of a starship that was hit by space debris and cost the life of his wife, Phi is a tough pilot with a passion for cigarettes, and Hachimaki is an ambitious young man who wants to take part in the Jupiter mission in order to acquire his own ship.

Planites is the ancient Greek word for "wanderers"—describing not so much the celestial bodies as the restless protagonists who dream of reaching these distant worlds, set against the backdrop of a space story that combines family, love, ambition, and personal conflicts.
