In the second volume of Golden Kamuy, Russo-Japanese War veteran Saichi "Immortal" Sugimoto continues his quest for hidden treasure in northern Japan, accompanied by the young Ainu, Asirpa. The two have already located some of the escaped prisoners whose tattoos form a map to the treasure. However, their search attracts the attention of a group of renegade Japanese soldiers from the infamous 7th Division, led by the ruthless and determined Lieutenant Tsurumi, who will stop at nothing to acquire the gold. Additionally, a former samurai, who escaped with the prisoners, carves his own path toward the treasure, putting Sugimoto's "Immortal" nickname to the test.

This volume includes chapters 8 to 17, spanning a total of 192 pages. The edition is in English, translated by Eiji Yasuda and edited by Mike Montesa. Golden Kamuy is a manga series that blends action, adventure, comedy, drama, historical elements, and mystery, aimed at an adult audience. The series has also been adapted into an anime, with the second volume covering events depicted in episodes 4 and 5 of the first season.
