With
his beloved wife Sylphie expecting a child and his relationship
with his youngest sister on the mend, Rudeus’s life has never been
better. That happiness is shattered when he receives dire news:
Paul’s expedition to rescue Zenith has met with catastrophe. They
need Rudeus’s help! Yet before Rudeus can prepare to leave, he
receives a vision from the mysterious Hitogami. The deity warns
Rudeus: If he goes to help his parents, he will regret it for the
rest of his life, and miss out on something immensely important.
Caught between Hitogami’s warning and his own desire to save his
