The laughter magazine that raised an entire generation is back!
Vavoura. A word that was the title of one of the most historic magazines of the 80s and 90s and was loved by many. It was the most surreal and avant-garde that anyone could read at that time. The subtitle under the colorful title of the magazine, "magazine of fun", indicated exactly what it was. Vavoura was what today's memes, social media trolls are. It nursed entire generations on its catchphrases, its wit, its lines, and influenced a series of artists. Sometimes sharp and crude, but always innocent and hilarious.

It began in June 1981 and ended in 1997 with 752 issues, hosting a multitude of characters with short-page stand-alone stories from the British magazines Whizer & Chips, The Beano, Buster, Whoopee, as well as titles from Spanish, American and French authors. Special mention in the case of the back cover with the famous “13 Mad Street” where in each “apartment”, one line and the sketch were enough to complete the story, something that was repeated on all four floors. As time passed and Vavoura experienced great success, the apartment building grew, just like the cities we grew up in. Even more apartments, even more stories, even more din.

The revival of Vavouras brings with it 13 of the classic stories we grew up with, including “13 Mad Streets” — this time with “our own” Klimis Keramitsopoulos (drawing) and Lazaros Alexakis (script). In more detail:
