In the concentration camps, boxing matches were held for the entertainment of the Nazis, who wanted the defeated boxer to be led to the gas chambers. And in an effort to prove their superiority, the Aryans organized unequal matches with stout and muscular German officers against boxers of smaller physique.
The author Mi Delta meets the illustrator Potis Keimalis in a story about the psyche of the boxers, who constantly walked a tightrope between survival and indirect murder – often of their fellow prisoners. A short story – a statement so that the “Invisible Holocaust” as the extermination of the Roma was commonly characterized is not forgotten. Within this historical context, the protagonist of the book, Jonathan Trollman, lives and fights. His struggles, both in the ring and in life, take on even greater significance.
This short story was based on historical events, and is an effort so that all those who love the so-called “combat sports” remain on the right side of history, teaching respect for diversity. It is a deep silent bow to all those who were swallowed by the belly of the beast.
