While rescuing the innocent
merchants, our heroes find themselves trapped at the bottom of the
Pit of the Damned alongside the fearsome General Kemo. In order to
escape, they must forge an uneasy truce-and engage in an unexpected
conversation. Contrary to the rumors, the spirits of the fallen
Banyue warriors do not serve the state preceptor. Rather, they burn
with a thirst for vengeance: two centuries ago, the "treacherous
witch" gained their trust, only to lead them to their doom. As
Prince Xie Lian uncovers Kemo's tragic past, he realizes that,
