The Jizo manga is the first collaboration between Mato, a young Japanese illustrator, and Mr Tan, also known as Antoine Dole, a writer of comics, manga, and children's novels. This is a fairy tale that explores Japanese folklore in the style of Hayao Miyazaki's Journey to Wonderland. The normal and the ordinary meet the strange and the otherworldly, in a story that is hypnotic, terrifying, poetic and captivating.
