Due to many passes, a preliminary exam must take place and Hayate explains to the participants that a quick one-on-one tournament will be held to cut the number of winners in half. Konoha’s senseis and Hokage are informed of Sasuke’s dark seal and Kakashi warns Sasuke not to use his Sharingan in his fight against Yoroi. After the match, Kakashi decides to suppress Sasuke’s seal but Orochimaru reveals himself and his intentions. He leaves calmly and the examiners announce that the next battle will be between Sakura and Ino, the close friends who became rivals!
