Hanayama's history began in 1930 in
Japan as a maker of traditional board games based on creativity and
high quality standards. He became world famous in the 80's, when he
started making the Cast Puzzle series.

means in Japanese "I divide into pieces" and ぱ ず る means "puzzle".
Hanayama combined these two words into one る ず る which means "the
Puzzle that breaks into pieces" (Puzzle).
Puzzles are classified into six different difficulty
levels, from easy (Level 1 - ★) to difficult (Level 6 -
★★★★★★).
