The Stardew Valley edition for the Nintendo Switch 2 brings new features like mouse support via the Joy-Con’s built-in functions, offering a PC-like experience in portable form. Moreover, it utilizes the GameShare feature of the Nintendo Switch 2, allowing up to four players to join in co-op mode with just one copy of the game. Local split-screen for four players is also supported.

The game supports multiple play modes, including TV mode, Tabletop mode, and Handheld mode. Additionally, it offers online co-op with up to 8 players, as well as local co-op with up to 4 players via wireless connection.
