Welcome to Arcadia, a retro-futuristic metropolis of the 1970s, where citizens enjoy a life of luxury and comfort, unaware that their daily lives are aired live 24/7 as the world's most popular reality show. A drop in ratings could mean the ultimate penalty: death. Trevor Hills, an ordinary man leading a monotonous life, finds himself in mortal danger, but a mysterious voice guides him behind the scenes of American Arcadia towards his freedom. Is it all real or just another ploy to boost viewership?

American Arcadia blends two styles of gameplay: a 2.5D platformer featuring challenging platforms, thrilling chases, stealth elements, and puzzles, alongside a full 3D first-person game with hacking, exploration, stealth, and additional puzzles to solve. The gripping narrative unfolds as a documentary with interviews and police interrogations of the characters as you progress through the game. Moreover, the game boasts an impressive voice cast, including Yuri Lowenthal (Spider-Man 1 & 2, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Call of the Sea), Krizia Bajos (Cyberpunk 2077, League of Legends), and Cissy Jones (Firewatch, Life is Strange, Call of the Sea), bringing the characters of American Arcadia to life.
