The Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is the highly anticipated new addition to Konami's legendary series, set for release on October 15, 2026. Developed by Evil Empire, known for the hit "Dead Cells", it returns to the roots of 2D action-exploration, offering a modern experience with classic Metroidvania elements.

The story unfolds in Paris in 1499, where the city is overrun by monsters emerging from the shadows. Players assume the role of Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades, equipped with the legendary Vampire Killer whip. Rose must explore the burning streets and the imposing castle, facing enemies and uncovering secrets behind the monster invasion.

The game offers satisfying whip action, allowing players to use it for agile movement like an acrobat, and to strike creatively in fast-paced battles. Additionally, it features a wide array of weapons and abilities, alongside the Arcana system where defeated enemies are turned into tarot cards, granting unique skills and special powers.

With a new artistic style that expands the series' classic gothic aesthetic, "Belmont's Curse" presents a fresh Castlevania world. Players will explore maps filled with secrets, traps, and puzzles, facing iconic enemies like Death, Medusa, and Carmilla, as well as new mysterious adversaries.
