PS5 Game - Painkiller

The Painkiller returns dynamically on PlayStation 5, offering a modern remake of the classic first-person shooter. Developed by Anshar Studios and released on October 21, 2025, it provides an exciting experience full of action and intensity.

In the game, players take on the role of a hero trapped in Purgatory, who must face hordes of demons and monstrous creatures to prevent the fallen angel Azazel from unleashing his powers on Earth. The Painkiller supports cooperative gameplay for up to three players, as well as full offline support, allowing players to enjoy the experience either alone or with friends.

The game features a variety of weapons, including the Electrodriver, Stakegun, Shotgun, SMG, Hand Cannon, and Rocket Launcher, offering players multiple options to eliminate their enemies. Additionally, players can choose from four different characters—Ink, Void, Sol, and Roch—each with unique advantages that enhance energy, health, strength, or damage.

From Jan. 2028, newly released games on PlayStation will be available for purchase on PlayStation Store and at retailers in digital format only.  Discs for games released before Jan. 2028 can continue to be played on this console.
