The surprises of the year begin with a big news! Popeye is back in a new edition that will be published every week in the newspaper I Kathimerini! The beloved gunpowder-smoking sailor of the comics with the pipe and spinach returns and brings back to the fore the almost century-old hero who was loved for his authenticity, imperfections and unnegotiable kindness!

The new weekly edition of Popeye is published as an insert in the newspaper I Kathimerini, every Saturday with a 36-page issue (color, format 17X24) with unpublished stories in Greek by the Thimble Theatre troupe, with the heroes Popeye, Poldo, Olive, Bruto and Revithouli!

In the first issue of the new series, you will read the unpublished story Ghost Island, written and drawn by Bud Sagendorf, which first appeared in Popeye #3 in August 1948! Along with an exclusive tribute to creator Bud Sagendorf, the creator with the longest and most iconic career in the Popeye comic strip.
