Every year, about twenty people disappear from cruise ships on the high seas. None of them have ever been seen again. Until now… Martin Schwartz, an undercover police agent, lost his wife and son five years ago, who were traveling on the cruise ship "Sultan of the Seas", and no one has been able to say exactly what happened. Since then, Martin has been a rascal and tries to forget his pain by participating in deadly dangerous undercover police missions. During one such operation, he receives a call from a strange old woman, who claims to be a thriller writer. She tells him that he must board the "Sultan" at all costs, as there is evidence of what happened to his family. Martin never intended to set foot on a ship again, but he eventually does. So, he learns that a girl who had disappeared from the cruise ship a few weeks ago has reappeared – and in her arms she was holding her son's teddy bear...
