Expansion Hive: The Mosquito

Hive: The Mosquito is an exciting expansion for the popular strategy board game Hive, adding a new element that enhances the game's dynamics. The mosquito is introduced in the same way as other pieces, offering new strategic options.

Once placed, the mosquito gains the ability to move as any piece it is touching at the start of its turn, whether of the same or opposing color. This means its movement can change constantly, providing unpredictable and intriguing developments in the game. Exceptions: If the mosquito is touching only another mosquito, it cannot move. If the mosquito moves as a beetle atop the hive, it continues to move as a beetle until it descends.

The expansion includes two mosquito pieces, one for each player, and an illustrated rule booklet. It is suitable for ages 9 and up and requires the base game Hive to play. The package dimensions are 12.5 x 12.5 x 1.5 cm, making it easy to transport and store.
