Expansion Akropolis: Pantheon

The Akropolis: Pantheon expansion transforms the beloved board game Akropolis into an exhilarating cooperative experience. Former rivals become allies, joining forces to build a magnificent capital in honor of the gods. Through three scenarios of escalating difficulty—Corinth, Sparta, and Athens—players face unique architectural challenges and construct Divine Altars dedicated to the gods Hestia, Hermes, Ares, Zeus, and Demeter. Success demands strategic planning, resource management, and seamless collaboration.

At the start of the game, players jointly choose one of the three available scenarios, each presenting a different level of difficulty. Each player receives an initial tile while the remaining tiles form the heart of the Capital in the center of the game board. Three Architectural Challenges are revealed along with their respective Divine Altars. Players also receive two stone cubes and three City tiles to hold in hand. Unlike the base game, there is no river. During the game, players can add tiles to their City to complete Architectural Challenges and earn Divine Altars or contribute to building the Capital by placing tiles in the center of the board, allowing for point accumulation at the game’s end. Resource management, placement coordination, and challenge anticipation are crucial to achieving collective victory. The base game Akropolis is required to play this expansion.
