Board Game Life in Reterra

Life in Reterra is a strategic tile-placement board game designed by Eric M. Lang and Ken Gruhl, offering a unique rebuilding experience in an optimistic post-apocalyptic world. With a playtime of approximately 35 minutes and suitable for 2-4 players aged 10 and up, the game combines simplicity with strategy, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced players.

In Life in Reterra, players choose one of three preset sets of thematic buildings or create their own, and then place terrain tiles to build their community. Each terrain tile features different land types and icons, such as gears and relics, which influence strategic choices. Placing inhabitants and buildings requires careful planning, as each building must be supported by gears of the same type of terrain. Players earn points by creating large areas of the same land type, collecting relics, and using their buildings' special abilities. The game concludes when all players have placed 16 tiles, and the player with the most points is declared the winner.
