Board Game The Plum Island Horror

The Plum Island Horror is a cooperative board game for 1 to 4 players, blending tactical unit management with tower defense survival mechanics. Each player controls one of six unique factions representing the various groups inhabiting Plum Island. Every faction comes with its own strengths and weaknesses, encouraging players to leverage their team's assets while mitigating vulnerabilities. Player collaboration is crucial, as they must coordinate to evacuate the besieged town and contain the horrific outbreak threatening to spread beyond the island. If players succeed, they win together and the world may never know about the averted crisis. If not, they lose together and equally share the responsibility for failing humanity.

The game features a large board (22" x 34"), 135 game cards, 7 player boards for factions, 4 player aids, a sideboard for tracking the game, 2 fabric bags, 6 custom battle dice, 70 Terror tiles, 36 cardboard figures, 102 wooden pieces, and 162 cardboard tokens. Designed by Hermann Luttmann and published by GMT Games in 2023, the game duration ranges from 45 to 180 minutes, depending on the number of players and difficulty level. The Plum Island Horror offers an intense survival and strategic experience, ideal for fans of horror and cooperative games.
