High Heavens is a fast-paced, tactical miniatures game that brings the epic battles of Greek and Norse gods to the tabletop. Designed by Ryan Lesser, known for his work on video games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band, this game offers an accessible yet strategic experience for players aged 8 and above.

Game Overview:

In High Heavens, players choose to command either the Greek or Norse pantheon, each with unique gods and abilities. The objective is to defeat the opposing pantheon by eliminating all their gods or destroying their home base. The game is played on a hexagonal grid, with players drawing five cards each turn and performing three actions, such as invoking gods, moving, attacking, or using special abilities.

Components:

• Miniatures: 24 highly detailed, heroic-scale miniatures representing various gods and units.
• Cards: 48 playing cards (plus two "DIY" cards) that provide actions, abilities, and events.
• Game Mat: A double-thick, premium neoprene playmat measuring 3mm in thickness.
• RingChips: 100 tokens used to track health, attack bonuses, armor, and other modifiers.
• Homebases and Tokens: Two homebases, action point tokens, life counters, and a rulebook.

Gameplay Mechanics:

Players start by selecting their pantheon and setting up their home base on the game mat. Each turn, players draw five cards and perform three actions, which can include:

• Invoking a God: Summoning a deity to the battlefield.
• Moving: Positioning gods and units strategically.
• Attacking: Engaging in combat with opposing gods or units.
• Using Special Abilities: Leveraging unique powers of gods or units.
• Acquiring Bonus Chips: Collecting tokens that provide advantages.

The game emphasizes strategic planning, as players must manage their resources, anticipate opponents' moves, and adapt to the evolving battlefield.
