Garum is a strategic tile-laying board game for 2 to 4 players, aged 8 and up, with a playtime of approximately 30 minutes. Set in ancient times, players assume the roles of master fish sauce makers, competing to dominate the production of the esteemed Roman condiment, garum.

Game Overview:

• Objective: Strategically place Cetarian Tiles to maximize the presence of your designated color in specific rows and columns, thereby gaining influence and scoring points.

Components:

• Each player receives 16 Cetarian Tiles, each divided into four sections displaying different color combinations, with the player's primary color being predominant.
• A central game board represents the cetarium (brine tank) where tiles are placed.

Gameplay Mechanics:

• Tile Placement: Players take turns placing one tile onto the board, aiming to align their color segments advantageously within rows and columns.
• Scoring Influence: By dominating specific rows or columns with their color, players can claim influence, earning points based on their control.
• Strategic Blocking: Players can tactically place tiles to hinder opponents' plans, adding a layer of depth to the gameplay.

Endgame and Victory:

The game concludes when all tiles have been placed. Players tally their points based on the influence exerted in rows and columns, as well as any bonuses acquired. The player with the highest score is declared the winner.
