Byzanz is a strategic card game set in the bustling markets of Byzantium, where players take on the roles of merchants aiming to maximize their profits. The game is designed for 3 to 6 players aged 8 and above, with an average playtime of approximately 45 minutes.

Game Components:

• 96 Goods Cards: Representing six different types of goods, with 16 cards of each type.
• 16 Merchant Cards: Used to participate in auctions.
• 6 Bidder Cards: To place bids during auctions.
• 1 Byzantine Market Board: Serves as the central hub for transactions.
• 1 Rulebook: Provides instructions for gameplay.

Gameplay Overview:

Players engage in auctions to acquire bundles of goods, using cards from their hands to place bids. The winner of each auction places their bid into the market. When a player collects a set of three identical goods, they can sell them in the market, keeping the highest-valued card as profit. The game concludes when all goods cards have been auctioned, and the player with the highest profit wins.
