Brass Empire

Brass Empire is a strategic steampunk-themed deck-building game designed for 1 to 5 players aged 10 and up, with an average playtime of 30 to 60 minutes. Set in the industrial world of Cobalt, players assume control of competing corporations vying for dominance by mining the valuable resource known as Brass.

Game Overview:

• Objective: Accumulate the most Brass Points by the time the region's Mining Pool is depleted. Players achieve this by hiring employees, constructing buildings, manufacturing steam-powered machines, and engaging in corporate espionage and sabotage.
• Gameplay Mechanics:
• Deck-Building: Start with a basic deck and enhance it by acquiring new cards representing employees, buildings, and units.
• Resource Management: Utilize resources to mine Brass, develop infrastructure, and execute strategic actions against competitors.
• Player Interaction: Engage in direct confrontations, including attacks and sabotage, to hinder opponents' progress.

Corporations of Cobalt:

Players can choose from five distinct corporations, each offering unique gameplay mechanics and strategic opportunities:

• Harlem Electric Works (Blue): Pioneers in alternative energy sources, focusing on electrical innovations.
• Frontier Rail (Orange): Dominant in transportation, relying heavily on Brass to fuel their expansive rail network.
• Windcraft Enterprises (Red): Specialists in manufacturing airships and vehicles, with a reputation for quality craftsmanship.
• McGlynn Clockwerks (Green): Renowned for intricate timepieces and intelligence operations, often involved in law enforcement.
• Omni-Edo Corporation (Purple): A conglomerate with vast resources, excelling in construction and strategic acquisitions.

Setup:

• Each player selects a corporation and receives the corresponding starting deck, including 7 Clerks, 3 Union Workers, and a Mining Platform card.
• Shuffle the central labor and design pool decks and place them within reach.
• Determine the Mining Pool's Brass token count based on the number of players.
• Set up player boards and resource trackers.

Game Play:

• Turns: Players take turns playing employee cards to gain resources, acquire new cards, construct buildings, and deploy units.
• Actions: Engage in mining, attacks, sabotage, and other strategic moves to advance your corporation's interests.
  Endgame: The game concludes when the Mining Pool is exhausted. The player with the most Brass Points is declared the winner.
