Eldritch Horror: Cities in Ruin is an expansion for the cooperative board game Eldritch Horror, immersing players in a world where unnatural disasters devastate cities globally. This expansion introduces new mechanics, characters, and challenges, enhancing the game's depth and replayability.

Key Features:

• New Ancient One – Shudde M’ell: This formidable entity, known as "The Cataclysm from Below," brings unprecedented destruction, causing violent earthquakes, devastating typhoons, and torrential storms that threaten to obliterate cities.
• Disaster Mechanic: The expansion introduces a Disaster deck, representing various catastrophic events. Players must manage these disasters, which can lead to the devastation of city spaces on the game board. If all nine named city spaces are devastated, the investigators lose the game.
• Devastation Encounters: When a city is devastated, it becomes a devastated space, no longer functioning as a city. Investigators on these spaces can encounter them by drawing from the Devastation Encounter deck, which offers complex challenges requiring multiple tests to resolve.
• New Investigators and Assets: The expansion adds four new investigators, each with unique abilities, and introduces new artifacts, spells, and assets to aid in the fight against the Ancient One.
• Prelude Cards: Before setup, players draw one random Prelude card, altering the game's setup and providing a unique experience each time.
