PS5 Game - Death Howl: A Soulslike Deck Builder

Death Howl is an exhilarating game that combines elements from the soulslike and deck-building genres, offering a unique experience for players. Developed by The Outer Zone and released by 11 bit studios on February 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5.

In the game, players take on the role of Ro, a mother desperately trying to reunite with her lost son by entering the spiritual world. Death Howl features an open world with grid-based tactical battles, where players use cards to execute attacks and abilities. With over 160 available cards, players can create custom decks to match their play style.

The game stands out for its atmospheric storytelling, exploring themes of grief and resilience, while its minimalist pixel art style enhances the sense of mystery and melancholy. The game's challenge requires players to study enemy patterns and adjust their strategies, making each battle a test of skill and adaptability.

From Jan. 2028, newly released games on PlayStation will be available for purchase on PlayStation Store and at retailers in digital format only.  Discs for games released before Jan. 2028 can continue to be played on this console.
