The Joker, who was portrayed by Jack Nicholson, is the main antagonist on the 1989 Batman movie. Jack Napier was the right-hand-man of crime boss Carl Grissom. During a robbery, he comes accross Batman and after the two exchange fire, Jack falls into a toxic chemical that ruins his appearance. He then becomes "The Joker" and seeks revenge over Batman and Gotham City.
